Description & History

The Taste of WVON is a celebration  which will incorporate a mixture of live musical entertainment, food & beverage, horseback riding , games,  and activities for all ages. Community members can also purchase items from our merchandise vendors, as well as receive information from community organizations and health agencies.  A major attraction during the Taste of WVON is a concert featuring local and national talent headlining this year will be Rose Royce and El DeBarge.

Volunteer needs range from:

                     Pre–festival administrative        Vendor Assistants

                     Early morning setup                   Information Tents

                     Ushers /Greeters                       Page Staff/Street Canvassers

                     Donation CollectorsTruck Load-up       WVON desk            

                     Festival break- down                            WVON volunteer area

                      Kid’s area                                Corporate Sponsor assistants


Orientation is mandatory for all volunteers on one of the following dates: Saturday, July 8th, 12:00 p.m.- 12:45 p.m, OR on Wednesday, July 12th from 6:00 p.m – 6:45 p.m. Details such as your responsibilities, and hours will be scheduled during orientation. Attendance to orientation will confirm your status as an official Taste of WVON volunteer.  Please feel free to invite friends/family that may also be interested the more the merrier.T-Shirts will be distributed at Orientation at WVON.

*All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt, refreshments, and 1 catered meal  as a small token of our appreciation for volunteering your time and talents.
