Volunteer opportunity description

Every summer, Heartland Alliance's Refugee and Immigrant Community Services provides a summer program to over 30 refugee youth ages 8-15. This year programming will start June 24th and go until August 2nd. Field trip days are from 1pm-6pm.

Tuesdays are dedicated to providing fun opportunties for our youth to explore Chicago beyond their own neighborhood.

Last year we visited Millenium Park, went Capeoria dancing, and visited an artist in Pilsen!

Volunteers help staff ensure our youth have a fun and safe time getting to know their new city!
