Volunteer opportunity description

Have some free time over the summer? Work alongside our staff in leading 30 refugee youth ages 8-15 in various summer activities! Volunteers assist with field trips downtown, to museums, to the beach and a weekly soccer day!

The program runs from 1:00pm-6:00pm, Monday through Thursday, from June 24th until August 5th. Programming takes place in Rogers Park and West Ridge neighborhoods, as well as various field trip locations in Chicago.


We are asking volunteers to commit to at least 1 day a week for the entire 6 week program.


Volunteer Orientation Training Date: June 22nd 10am-2pm



This position requires passing a background check, attending an orientation, and a minimum commitment of one day a week for the full six-week program. To apply, contact Alyssa Wilson at alwilson@heartlandalliance.org.
